(jd) Attentive witnesses informed the police on Friday (13.6.) at around 5.50 p.m. because a previously unknown man was getting rowdy near the bus station. The police officers who arrived a short time later encountered a 22-year-old man of no fixed abode who immediately became verbally and physically aggressive towards them. He insulted and threatened the officers and repeatedly tried to evade police action by using physical force. One officer was injured in the process. As the 22-year-old showed signs of alcohol and narcotics consumption, appropriate tests were carried out, which turned out positive. Blood samples were then taken at a hospital and his fitness for custody was confirmed. The 22-year-old, who has already been reported to the police for similar offenses, was taken into custody in Herford.
