Geilenkirchen - A traffic accident occurred on Quimperlestraße on Monday, November 25, at around 7.15 p.m., in which a pedestrian was injured.
The 18-year-old man from Geilenkirchen was walking from the "Bauchem Kirche" bus stop in the direction of the local Kreissparkasse bank. At the entrance and exit of the Kreissparkasse customer parking lot, he crossed the Quimperlestraße lane and was hit by a van. The driver of the car had previously entered Quimperlestraße from the parking lot in the direction of Niederheid. The front left side of the vehicle collided with the pedestrian's left hand, injuring him. The driver braked briefly, but then drove on towards Niederheid without stopping. He was around 30 to 50 years old, had a three-day beard and appeared Arabic. His vehicle was an older model white van.
